Born in Arad, Romania, and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Danielle Richards brings nearly twenty years of hospitality and management experience to her role at McGill Law.

After spending much of her career in the restaurant industry, Danielle was ready to bring her people focused skills to a new professional setting. Her years in hospitality taught her how to anticipate what people need, remain calm under pressure, adapt quickly, and manage multiple priorities while making sure those around her feel cared for.

Danielle was drawn to the legal field by a strong sense of fairness and a genuine desire to help others. She values work that gives her the opportunity to support people, help them understand their options, and make difficult circumstances feel a little less overwhelming.

When someone contacts a law firm for the first time, Danielle knows they may already be carrying a great deal of stress. She wants each person she speaks with to end the conversation feeling a little more at ease than when it began. She brings empathy, thoughtfulness, and strong organizational skills to every interaction.

Danielle was drawn to McGill Law’s women led environment and its emphasis on collaboration, advocacy, and helping people. She especially enjoys learning from the women she works alongside and being part of a team where questions and curiosity are welcomed.

Danielle was adopted from Romania and raised by a single mother who traveled halfway around the world to bring her home. Growing up in a close, supportive family that valued diversity helped shape her perspective and the way she connects with others today.

Outside of work, Danielle enjoys cooking and baking, camping, slow hikes, boating, and spending time outdoors. A Level One Sommelier, she is also enjoying making wine a hobby after years of having it be part of her career.

Danielle and her mom remain very close, and her two dogs, Kira and Walter, keep life entertaining. Although she can seem reserved at first, she loves trying new things, meeting new people, and having a good conversation about almost anything. Pizza is always a good place to start.
