Skylar was born in Omaha but grew up in Kansas City before returning to Nebraska to start her family. She attended Kansas State University for three years where she studied Political Science with a law track, Anthropology, and Leadership Studies. She lives in Lincoln with her daughter and provides legal assistance to both the Lincoln and Omaha McGill Law offices.

As a single mother, Skylar is passionate about supporting women, children, and families who are persevering through difficult circumstances. She loves being a part of the McGill Law team not only for their women-oriented structure, collaborative approach, and community involvement, but also for the wonderful team of strong, intelligent, and thoughtful women who make up the McGill Law team.

Skylar enjoys spending time with her daughter, reading a good book of any genre, travelling (especially internationally), and enjoying nature when given the chance.
