April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness about the prevalence of sexual assault, how sexual assault can be prevented and the importance of supporting survivors.

|| Every 68 seconds, an American is sexually assaulted ||

This statistic highlights the urgent need for action and advocacy.

|| NO always means NO ||

Consent is paramount in ALL relationships, including marriage, engagement, and dating.

Survivors of sexual assault deserve to feel safe to share their stories, be supported, heard, and believed. In Nebraska, one legal protection available is a || Sexual Assault Protection Order || granted to those subjected to or at risk of sexual assault without consent.

We understand the hesitance survivors may feel in discussing their abuse, but we are here to listen and provide assistance.

|| You are not alone ||

If you or someone you know is ready to take the next step and needs help filing a protection order, please contact us at 402-548-5418.
