It is hard to believe that I started McGill Law ten years ago. Those ten years flew by! In 2011, when I started McGill Law, I knew that I wanted to continue to help people through their legal matters, but I wanted to help people differently. I wanted to focus on the client and to provide expert legal guidance with compassion, integrity, and their futures in mind.
My intention for 2021 is to celebrate. With that in mind, I want to ask you to join me in celebrating the past 10 years of McGill Law. What a better time than an anniversary to reflect on how far we’ve come and celebrate all that we’ve accomplished? While we love the accolades, the awards and recognition, what’s always been most humbling is the difference that we’ve been able to make in people’s lives. When we complete a case and clients share their deep gratitude and appreciation with us, it makes all the difference. We feel truly honored that people trust us to guide them through what is often the most challenging time in their life.
Last year, my intention for the year was “growth” and grow we did. We grew in size starting 2020 with four employees and doubling that to eight employees in 2021. Not only did we grow employees, but we grew in the number of families that we were able to assist, in our creativity as to how to assist families; in our patience with so much out of our control; in our bond with each other; and in our faith in the amazing people who we are lucky enough to guide. Clearly, we have so much to celebrate!
